Evamarie Duff
Sr. Vice Commander - Army

Evamarie Duff is a decorated veteran, passionate advocate for women veterans, and an inspiring example of resilience, courage, and determination. Her military service in the US Army and Illinois Army National Guard from 2002 to 2007 laid the foundation for her future leadership roles and earned her eligibility for the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).

As an 88M Transportation soldier, Evamarie played a critical role in convoy security and transportation operations during her deployment to Camp Buehring, Kuwait, and LSA Anaconda, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Despite facing challenges, including a medical evacuation to Germany and the completion of her military career at Fort Knox, Kentucky, in May 2007, Evamarie's dedication to service and leadership only grew stronger.

After her service, Evamarie joined the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and became a Life Member of Joshua W Harris Memorial VFW Post 2868 in Illinois in 2018. She has since held various leadership positions, including:

- Post 2868 Junior Vice Commander (2019-2020)
- Post 2868 Senior Vice Commander (2020-2023)
- Post 2868 Commander (2023-2024)
- District 4 Adjutant (2020-2024)
- District 4 Senior Vice Commander (2024-current)
- District 4 Color Guard (2023-current)
- Department Women Veteran Chairperson (2024-current) - the first to hold this role
- Department All-State Chairman (2023-current)

Evamarie is also a member of the American Legion, Wounded Warrior Project, Order of the Eastern Star, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She serves as an Election Judge in her county, further demonstrating her commitment to public service.

Evamarie's mission is to asist women veterans and provide support and resources to those who have experienced military sexual trauma (MST), as she is a survivor herself. Her leadership and dedication have earned her numerous accolades, including Recognition awards, certificates, National Aide De Camp, and National Special Aide De Camp positions.

Evamarie's story is a testament to her unwavering commitment to service, leadership, and making a positive impact in her community. Her journey serves as an inspiration to many, and her continued dedication to women veterans and supporting those affected by MST is a shining example of her character and strength.
